As many as four pilgrims were killed and at least 17 others injured when the bus they were travelling in collided with a speeding truck trailer near Kairu on the Jaisalmer – Jodhpur Road on Tuesday afternoon.
A two – wheeler and a car were also damaged in the collision, a police spokesman said.

The ill-fated bus was carrying people back home in Gujarat after paying obeisance at the Ram Deora dham when it collided with the truck near the revered Arana-Jharna pilgrim centre.
The injured were rushed to the Mathura Das Mathur Hospital here, where Medical Superintendent Dr Vikas Rajpurohit was himself supervising the arrangement for medical care to the injured.
The families of the victims have been informed of the tragedy.
Jodhpur Divisional Commissioner Pratibha Singh and District Collector Gaurav Agarwal also rushed to the accident site and the hospital to see the injured.
